sponge titanium
Basic Information:
The production process of sponge titanium mainly includes two methods: magnesium reduction distillation method (i.e. Claus method) and sodium reduction distillation method, which are applied in industrial production. The production process of the Claus method is as follows: titanium ore - electric furnace smelting to produce high titanium slag - chlorination to produce titanium tetrachloride - refining and purification to produce refined titanium tetrachloride - magnesium reduction - distillation to produce sponge titanium - finished product crushing and packaging.
The produced sponge titanium still needs to be melted and cast into titanium ingots (or titanium alloys) in a vacuum arc furnace, and then forged or rolled into corresponding pipes, plates, or wires in order to be applied in industry.
Application: Aerospace structural parts, aerospace rotor parts Characteristics: The quality is stable, the composition is uniform, the particle size distribution range is reasonable, the packaging density is less than 1.5g/cm³, and the specification is 2----12.7 mm. In the field of aerospace and military industry, the market share continues to lead.
