Tile Backer Boards are a lightweight insulated tile backer board developed specifically for the thermal insulation of tiled floors. A large majority of insulation boards are constructed entirely of a polystyrene board, with no reinforcement on the top or bottom of the boards. The downside of this design is that the boards are easily deformed with light finger pressure and cables may become embedded into the insulation and can then be compromised in dissipating the heat into the surrounding adhesive and tiles as designed. Tile Backer Boards are designed with strength and reliability as the key issue. It is constructed from an extruded polystyrene core covered on both sides by a glass fibre mesh embedded in a cement skin. The skin ensures maximum durability and gives Tile Backer Board its exceptional compressive strength.

TWES XPS Tile Backer Boards are reinforced on both sides with an alkali fibreglass mesh, embedded into the modified polymer mortar. Hard coatedlow-e glass Hard coated low-e glass also called on-line low-e glass, is using CVD (chemical vapour deposition) technology put the film coated on the surface of the glass when the glass produced from the float line. Because the film layer is stable, the coated glass can be transported and processed same as normal glass. At the same time, hard low-e glass also has the effect of energy saving, the thermal radiation rate of normal glass is 0.84, the thermal reflectivity is 0.16, the thermal radiation rate of hard low-e glass is 0.17, and the thermal reflectivity is 0.83. This means that the phenolic insulation board can provide better thermal insulation effect at the same thickness, effectively reducing the heat loss of the floor heating system, thereby saving energy costs.

Rooftop insulation phenolic board can not only provide insulation, but also serve as a waterproof, moisture-proof, and soundproof material. Usually, in order to increase the insulation effect, many insulation materials increase their thickness, which greatly increases the usable area during construction and occupies a large indoor space. The aluminum foil phenolic insulation board can achieve a density of 100kg/m ³ and a thickness of 2cm. The aluminum foil covering can effectively resist heat source radiation and block heat transfer. The phenolic material in the middle can effectively isolate cold and hot air and water molecules because of its closed cell foam structure, with low thermal conductivity and good thermal insulation effect. Due to the high density of phenolic materials, the thickness of the board is 2cm, and the hardness is also sufficient.
