Principle of Action of Polyamine
Polyamine as a cationic flocculant, its principle of action mainly includes the
following aspects:

1. Neutralization: The cation in the polyamine molecule can neutralize the
anion on the suspended particles in the water, reducing the surface charge of
the suspended particles, thus promoting the agglomeration of particles.

2. Bridging: The amino and amide groups on the molecular chain of polyamine can
form hydrogen bonds with multiple suspended particles, resulting in bridging
between particles and forming flocs.

3. Adsorption: Polyamine has high molecular weight and surface activity, which
can adsorb organic matter and particulate matter in water, increase its
cohesion, and is conducive to the settlement of particulate matter.
