N-methyl-D-aspartic acid (NMDA) is an amino acid derivative naturally occurring in
animals, and is an important excitatory neurotransmitter L-glutamic acid homologue
in the mammalian central nervous system. It is an amino acid derivative and an
excitatory neurotransmitter. N-Methyl-DL-Aspartic Acid is used as a nutritional
