INSERT MOLDING

Insert Molding is a process of inserting bolt, nut, electrode piece and other
metal components into plastic parts. Place the components in mould in advance,
the insert component will be tightly and stably assembled with plastic product
after injection. Now, it’s widely used in electric, appliance, pipe fitting,
hand tool and more industries.

In addition, if using a plastic part as insert component, insert molding
process could be used for manufacturing two color product. Without multi shot
injection machine, we could also produce colorful and beautiful products.

INSERT MOLDING OF DOUBLE COLOR BASIN
CHALLENGES
The double color basin produced by inserting plastic decoration component into
the basin mould and through insert molding process, the product will have
appearance in double colors. The plastic insert has more uncertainty of
shrinkage than metal insert. Therefore, controlling the shrinkage allowance
between plastic insert mould and principal mould is a key element in the insert
molding process.

Having rich experience, Jeward design team could calculate accurately the
shrinkage allowance of mould according to the target materiel. We do repeated
test in mould testing period and record the best parameters. So that customers
could set up the their injection machine quickly after receiving our mould.

Due to the reasonable use of shrinkage and high processing accuracy, our double
colors basin has flat joint without shortage and flashing. Our mould could go
into production quickly in customer’s factory by referring to our mould
