Highway Noise Barrier
Highway Noise Barrier System for Highway Road, Perforated, Integrated System Highway noise barrier is a type of soundproofing material specifically designed to reduce the amount of noise generated by highway traffic. It is mainly used along highways and other major roads to help reduce the impact of traffic noise on nearby structures. The main difference between a noise barrier and a steel fence is that noise barriers are designed to absorb sound, while steel fences only act as a physical barrier. They can be combined with other sound-absorbing materials such as absorptive blakets and acoustic foam to increase the effectiveness of the barrier.
Highway Noise Barrier is mainly made of galvanized steel with a powder-coated finish to ensure durability, longevity and weather resistance. The barrier is designed to reduce traffic noise and provide a physical barrier along highways, roads and other areas where increased sound abatement is needed. Additionally, the barrier is designed to prevent debris from entering into the environment as well as providing a visual sight barrier.
Highway Steel Noise Barriers are generally made from galvanized steel sheet and/or galvanized steel pipe. The walls are then corrugated to form wavy patterns which help to reduce noise. Generally panels are 2.5m wide, 0.7m high and available in 3m or 4m lengths. The panels can be connected to form longer sections depending on the requirements. They are designed to reduce the noise of traffic and are usually placed between the source of noise and the areas subjected to it. The barriers can be painted or coated to match the environment and improve aesthetics. As for maintenance, periodic cleaning with water and detergent is recommended and they should be inspected regularly to check for rusting, corrosion or damage. With proper maintenance and care, these barriers can have a service life of up to 20 years.
Highway Noise Barriers are typically installed using either a post-in-ground or an anchored installation. The height of the product is typically determined based on the height of the surrounding terrain and the type of noise it is intended to reduce. The spacing between posts is usually calculated based on the desired acoustical properties of the barrier. There are several different parameters that must be taken into account when calculating the proper spacing, such as the barrier's mass, the distance from the source of the noise, and the frequency of the noise. The materials used for the Highway Steel Noise Barriers can vary depending on the desired acoustical properties and local building codes. Generally, steel, aluminum, and fiberglass are used to construct the barriers. It is important to consider the weight of the material, the sound reduction capabilities, and maintenance requirements when selecting the type of material used.
