High Purity Graphite

High-purity graphite refers to a form of graphite that has a high level of
carbon content and a minimal amount of impurities. Graphite is an allotrope of
carbon and consists of carbon atoms arranged in a hexagonal lattice structure.
It is a highly versatile material known for its excellent thermal and
electrical conductivity, low friction, and high chemical stability.
The purity of graphite is determined by the amount of impurities present, such
as ash, sulfur, nitrogen, and metals. High-purity graphite typically has a
carbon content of 99% or higher, with impurity levels below 1%. The
purification process involves various techniques, including chemical treatment,
thermal treatment, and mechanical processing, to remove impurities and increase
the carbon concentration.
