Expanded Nickel Mesh

Expanded nickel mesh is produced by symmetrically slitting and stretching
the nickel sheet or coil. Unlike the square mesh of woven nickel mesh, the
expanded nickel mesh is distinguished by diamond shape of openings. It’s
easy to bend, cut, and can be processed into any shape. Similar to woven
nickel meshes, the expanded mesh is corrosion-resistant to alkaline and
neutral solution media.

As the material for expanded nickel mesh, nickel sheet or coil is divided
into types of N2, N4, N6, and N8 according to the purity of nickel
contained inside. N4 with a nickel content of over 99.9% and N6 over 99.6%
are the most commonly used nickel mesh materials among the 4 mentioned
above.

Expanded Nickel Mesh Specifications

Different from nickel woven mesh, the expanded nickel mesh is divided into
various specifications by the size of diamond mesh openings, nickel sheet
thickness, and nickel sheet strand width. Four main parameters that are
usually mentioned to clarify specifications of expanded nickel mesh include
LWD(Long way dimension of mesh ), SWD(Short way dimension of mesh), basic
thickness (Nickel sheet thickness), and strand width (nickel sheet strand
