China Solenoid Valve Manufacturer Lesson about Selfless Help

On the way home from work on Friday, I saw someone selling sweet potatoes,
which suddenly reminded me of the story I had with a sweet potato peddler last
winter. I remembered one particularly cold day last winter, a Chinese person
from Shanghai came to Ningbo to source for a Chinese solenoid valve
manufacturer for an American customer. AAK was his first stop, and the meeting
lasted a long time. It wasn't until 5:30 pm that he left with satisfaction. I
walked out of the factory and felt extremely cold outside. At this moment, I
received a call from my wife, who said that it was particularly cold outside

happy when I received this call, thinking that the steaming dinner at home was
waiting for me, so I hurried home. On the way home, I found a person standing

roasting sweet potatoes.

I can see that he is shivering in the cold wind, but not many of these piles of
sweet potatoes have been sold. I thought to myself that his task for today has
not been completed yet, and the benefits for the day have not yet been
realized, so he must persist here. And I, on the other hand, can immediately
return home and have that steaming dinner. By comparison, compassion arose
naturally. I bought 8 sweet potatoes from him in one go, and I thought to
myself, if I buy one more sweet potato from him, I can make him go home
earlier. I bought 8 sweet potatoes and went home with a sense of satisfaction
along the way. There's nothing wrong with this sense of satisfaction, after
all, I did a moral kindness and helped him. But I also have a sense of
superiority, I thought to myself, after all, I am a small boss of a Chinese
solenoid valve manufacturer, he is just a peddler.

I returned home with this sense of satisfaction and superiority. Sitting down
at the dining table, I remembered the peddler selling sweet potatoes and
suddenly realized that my realm was very low. I helped him, in Buddhism, it's
called giving. When I was giving to this peddler, I had a sense of superiority
that was condescending. This kind of help was very self-centered and not
selfless. People need to help each other, but when you help others, don't think
you are one level higher than the person being helped. If I, a small boss of a

in the future, and in this occasion, perhaps a peddler helped me selflessly.

When the peddler gives me a helping hand, if he is very self-centered, he won't
help me. So I understand that the peddler selling sweet potatoes is certainly
