AAK Hydraulic Directional Control Valve Zero Leakage

Aether is a customer of AAK in Greece and has been purchasing hydraulic
cartridge valves from AAK for 3 years. At the beginning of last year, he asked
me about the sealing ring options available at AAK and I felt a bit strange. I
didn't provide a direct answer and take an example, if I simply asked the
doctor about the medication options, the doctor would definitely need to know
the patient's symptoms or cause. After further communication, it was learned
that they had encountered difficulties on a hydraulic directional control
valve. Due to rapid wear of the sealing ring of the hydraulic directional
control valve, there was leakage and the equipment was abnormal. The original
manufacturer blamed the hydraulic directional control valve for being used too
frequently, resulting in wear and tear on the sealing ring, which can only be
replaced with new ones. Aether cannot accept replacing the sealing ring within
only 3 months.

Aether's demand is to address the issue of hydraulic directional control valve
leakage without the need for frequent replacement of sealing rings. When I
received the sample of the hydraulic directional control valve from the
original manufacturer, I found that Aether had sent me an inquiry for this
model before. I also understood why he only asked about the sealing ring at
first. I told Aether that the original sealing method is a metal conical hard
seal, which is difficult to ensure leakage if used frequently. Optimizing the
original sealing structure can achieve no leakage for more than 1 year, but the
production cost of hydraulic directional control valves would be increased.
Aether was also candid and told me frankly that when inquiring, it was because
AAK's price was more than 20% higher another hydraulic cartridge valve
manufacturer that he chose. 60 days later, AAK sent out 50 samples of hydraulic
directional control valves to address Aether's urgent needs first.

Last week, Aether informed us that AAK hydraulic directional control valve has
been installed on the equipment for almost a year and there are no leaks. Their
customer is very satisfied, and his boss also suggested that he make AAK their
preferred supplier of hydraulic directional control valves. The production cost
of AAK hydraulic directional control valve is high, which is because these 3
aspects require more money than peers. AAK hydraulic directional control valve
adopts a dovetail groove sealing ring through the valve spool pressure plate,
which is pressed against the step hole of the valve body along with the valve
spool, playing a sealing role. Oil cannot return from the inlet chamber to the
return chamber, achieving zero leakage.

1. The hydraulic directional control valve body is connected to the spring
seat, and the spring is fixed between the valve spool and the spring seat.
There is a clearance fit between the valve spool and the valve body, as well as
between the spring seat and the valve spool, to prevent the valve spool from
moving inside the valve body. The guiding effect is formed between the spring
seat and the valve spool, and the pre tightening force of the spring is changed
by rotating the spring seat, thereby changing the opening pressure of the
valve.

2. There are step holes on the valve body that guide the valve spool. There is
a dovetail groove on the valve spool, which is equipped with a sealing ring to
isolate the oil inlet and return chambers. Adopting a dovetail groove sealing
structure and fixed by the valve spool pressure plate, it replaces the original
metal conical hard seal.

3. The control rod is installed in the control chamber of the valve body, which
has several oil passage grooves that return to the oil chamber and are fixed by
elastic retaining rings.
