AAK Hydraulic check valve, O-ring that does not fall out of groove and wear

Last week Logan said that he needs to order 1,000 hydraulic check valves at one
time and asked me to hurry up to prepare materials. After reading this email, I
felt very good. Logan comes from a Canadian hydraulic equipment company. Two
years ago, he found AAK Hydraulic Valve on the Internet. The hydraulic elevator
to be developed by their company needed to use special hydraulic check valves.
He asked AAK to make 20 hydraulic check valve samples urgently according to his
drawings, and promptly paid the development cost. According to the drawing, the
O-ring of the hydraulic check valve is a little special, and each component
needs to be customized. It took more than 2 months for AAK to successfully
finish and send 20 hydraulic check valves. Strangely, after samples were sent,
there was no news in 9 months until Logan's email last week.

Logan also frankly told us why we did not receive the feedback until now. It
turned out that their company had selected 3 factories to test the samples of
this hydraulic check valve. In the first test, the samples from all the 3
factories reached the standard, so they chose the cheapest one to place an
order. Six months later, they knew the trouble was coming. The customer
reported that the lift was unable to rise. After checking, it was found that
the hydraulic check valve leaked and did not maintain pressure. The reason for
the leakage was that the O-ring of the hydraulic check valve was out of the
groove and worn.

Logan contacted the original hydraulic check valve manufacturer, and the
manufacturer replied that the O-ring was a quick-wear part. If the customer
used it frequently, the quick-were part needs to be replaced every 6 months,
and the O-ring replacements can be provided free of charge. However, in such
frequent after-sales, the sealing ring is a small amount of money, but the
after-sales cost is the big trouble. Moreover, the customer may not accept it.

Logan checked the original archived samples again to verify the reliability of
the O-ring of the hydraulic check valve, and found that the O-ring of AAK was
different from that of other manufacturers. He also remembered that AAK was the
latest one to deliver samples at that time. Their engineers compared and tested
the O-ring of the hydraulic check valves again, and found that the O-ring of
AAK was not only different in material, but also different in structure.

How does AAK do it? The selection of O-ring should not only be based on the
working conditions of hydraulic check valve, but also strictly control the
size. With the special design of this hydraulic check valve, the pressure on
the O-ring comes from the inside. The outer edge of the O-ring will contact the
outer edge of the groove. The compression ratio can only be between 1% and 3%.
Considering that the shrinkage of the O-ring will cause tolerance, AAK has
customized samples for 8 times to determine the allowable tolerance range of O-
ring, which is 15% higher than DIN 3771 and ISO 3601/1 standards. Finally, the
ultra wear-resistant PU polyurethane rubber O-ring with reasonable size was
selected, and it was guaranteed that the O-ring would not fall out of groove
and wear within 1 year.
