AAK Hydraulic Cartridge Directional Control Valve Trouble Shooting Trick

Ryan is from a hydraulic equipment company in Brazil. In the first half of this
year, they had a hydraulic logistics equipment complained by users that the
control was abnormal. The after-sales engineer found that the instantaneous
peak pressure of the hydraulic cartridge directional control valve was too high
during the reversing process, which affected the function of the hydraulic

attempt is also very simple. A damping orifice with a length of 3mm and a
diameter of 2mm is added inside the hydraulic cartridge directional control
valve, which can throttle the rotation of the motor, further increase the back
pressure, reduce the differential pressure borne by the hydraulic cartridge
directional control valve, and finally ensure the stability of the equipment
rotation control.

I told our engineer that the customer admired your mind. He told me that the
optimization of the design of the hydraulic cartridge directional control valve
was also associated with the strike of a machine tool in our workshop last
time.

1. Why did the machine tool strike? Because the machine tool was overloaded,
the fuse in the control panel was blown.

2. Why did overload occur? Because the lubrication of the bearing was
insufficient.

3. Why was the lubrication of the bearing insufficient? Because the lubrication
provided by the pump was insufficient.

4. Why was the lubrication provided by the pump insufficient? Because the pump
shaft was worn, it rattled.

5. Why was the pump shaft worn? Because there was no filter at the inlet of the
lubricating device, small metal chips entered the lubricating system, causing
wear of the pump shaft.

6. Our coping strategy: add a filter at the inlet of the lubricating device. A
simple action can effectively solve this problem and prevent it from happening
again.

Ryan learned that there was such a small episode, and he was very pleased with
our technical team. At the same time, he told me privately that his boss was
also very fond of AAK and suggested that he should discuss more difficult and
miscellaneous problems of the hydraulic cartridge directional control valve
