AAK Hydraulic Cartridge Counterbalance Valve High Stability

Senon is from a Spanish hydraulic equipment company and has been responsible
for the procurement of hydraulic valves for 3 years. At the end of last year,
their customer customized two sets of hydraulic power units for ocean ships,
and needed to customize the hydraulic cartridge counterbalance valves. Senon
chose a hydraulic counterbalance valve manufacturer who has cooperated for 3
years to make samples. During the equipment commissioning, it was found that
the pressure supply was unstable and the hydraulic system was tested
separately, but there was no abnormality. The boss questioned the team's
performance. Senon felt that there was a hidden danger in the original design

the function of the purchased hydraulic counterbalance valve was not up to the

When browsing on Google, Senon found AAK webpage and left a message: Is the
instability of hydraulic cartridge counterbalance valve caused by a hidden
danger in design or an unqualified precision? I replied: both possible, it
needs to analyze specific problems. He sent me the equipment debugging video,
the production drawings of the hydraulic cartridge counterbalance valve, and

The two sets of the hydraulic power units had been delivered to the customer.
He was waiting for the customer's regular order. Their engineer also admired
the design mind of AAK.

The Hydraulic cartridge counterbalance valve designed by AAK, was successful in
below 3 points (1 wear-resistant, 2 optimized):

1. A damper is arranged at the oil port at the rear end of the screw plug, the
valve spool is provided with an inner cavity that is axially penetrated, and
the inner cavity is provided with a boss that is axially limited. This can
effectively reduce the flow resistance and improve the wear resistance of the
valve spool.

2. The inner chamber of the valve spool is also equipped with a spring, the
other end of the spring is against the end cover, the piston is sliding in the
second chamber, and the stepped end of the piston rod passes through the
chamber wall between the first chamber and the second chamber, to ensure the
stability of the hydraulic cartridge counterbalance valve.

3. The back end of the piston is equipped with a one-way throttling device, and
the diameter of the outer circumference of the valve body from the end cap end
to the screw plug end is gradually reduced in a ladder shape, further
optimizing the stability of the hydraulic cartridge counterbalance valve.
