16MnCr5 is a steel type imported from Germany, which is equivalent to my
country's 16CrMnH steel (refer to GB/T 5216-2004), and has good hardenability
and machinability. Wear resistance, low temperature impact toughness is also
high. 16MnCr5 gear steel is used after carburizing and quenching, and is mainly
used to manufacture gears, worms, sealing bushings and other parts.

Heat treatment specification: oil quenching at 900°C + oil quenching at
870°C, tempering at 200°C.
Metallographic structure: tempered martensite.
Uses: Manufacturing gears, worms, plastic molds, steam turbine oil seals and
gasoline sleeves, etc.
